# selfOS

> selfOS is a Chrome extension that redirects your attention from endless scrolling to a practice you chose, on a schedule you set, in the quiet presence of others. It takes the same pull that keeps you scrolling and aims it at the things you keep meaning to do, without taking your agency.

When you reach to scroll, selfOS hands you one of your own practices before you can talk yourself out of it. You set it up once and it runs on its own. Other people are practicing in the same moment, shown as quiet points of light, so you are not doing it alone. selfOS describes itself as an operating system for the self.

## How it works

- The wheel: a roulette of your own practices. When a distracting site loads, selfOS redirects you, and the wheel hands you something to do instead.
- Redirects: you list the sites that pull at you, and selfOS sends you to a practice, or to a destination you choose, instead of the scroll.
- Schedules: a session can start on its own, on the days and times you set, so an intention you set in a clear moment carries itself out later.
- Presence: an anonymous field of other people practicing right now, so the moment is shared, with no chat and no profiles.
- Modes (membership): scope your wheel and your redirects to where you are, such as a work computer or a home one.

## Free and membership

- Free, always: the wheel, your redirects, scheduled sessions, the presence of others, and your own stats.
- A one-time $79 lifetime membership adds categories for the wheel, modes, finer control over when and where practices appear, premium sounds, and the deeper stats analysis and connection features as they arrive. It also includes the iOS and Android apps when they launch.
